Paulownia

Paulownia tree is best known for its world bestsilky light golden blonde colored hard WOOD in huge quantity within 6 years of plantation. It is native to North to the South of China and Bangladesh is perfect place for Paulownia tree cultivation.

Even though the trees grow very fast the grain of finished wood can easily resemble better than Teak, Mahogany or Walnut with the right stain. Paulownia grows up to 25 meters once fully grown in 6 to 8 years.

Paulownia wood machines and works well, it is very dimensionally stable and is not subject to warping, cupping or splitting even when exposed to outdoor elements. Paulownia has machining and wood working characteristics and is not affected by humidity and Moisture. Paulownia has a natural resistance to Termites and other pests.

Benefits of Paulownia Tree

  • Paulownia proved to be the best WOOD for all types of furniture and wood works. Paulownia wood is among the highest valued American Hardwoods.
  • Paulownia is one of the most expensive wood, it possess highest commercial value, around $ 1,000 per cubic meter.
  • Paulownia saves forests by producing sawn timber in 6-12 years and growing 2-4 times more lumber than most other commercial trees in the same time period. This is vital as the supply of exotic and hardwoods rapidly diminishes.
  • After harvesting, a new Paulownia tree grows back from the stump and uses the same well-established root system. This saves post-harvest clearing costs, land erosion and runoff.
  • Paulownia roots go down as far as 40 feet regulating the water table and removing soil salinity. It’s shown to be very effective in absorbing waste pollutants from hog, chicken and dairy facilities as well as a variety of other pollutants.
  • Giant leaves drop each winter, releasing nitrogen and increasing soil fertility. Paulownia is planted between row crops for dramatic increases in production.
  • The giant leaves and rapid growth rate, act as huge lungs to scrub the air of greenhouse gases and air pollution – converting carbon dioxide into wood mass. Then releasing high levels of beneficial oxygen.
  • Many international farms raise crops between rows of Paulownia. The tree benefits by recovering excess fertilizer that runs deep into the ground and the crops benefit from the nutrients put into the topsoil by fallen leaves. The trees act to moisten the soil and block the wind. Intercropping is starting to gain more acceptance in the United States.
  • Paulownia is proving to be one of those rare environmental solutions that also makes economic sense.
  • The wood has long been used in the making of moldings, cabinets, veneers, furniture and musical instruments. It has now been recognized for applications where weight is an important element- such as marine construction, aircraft construction, trucks, trains, buses, pallets, crates, finished products to be shipped and vehicle interiors. All types of transportation benefit from reduced weight with reduced fuel consumption, higher speeds, longer range, less engine wear, or an increase in the payload they can carry.

Paulownia trees can be harvested in as little as 5 years and reach optimal lumber cutting size in about 12 years.  You don't have to wait 25 to 35 years as with most commercial trees.

Once a Paulownia Tree is harvested, a new tree will grow from the old stump!  The same root can generate a new tree every 8 to 12 years - up to 10 or more full size trees.  This means that if you lived to 100, you could set up a cutting program that would continue to pay you year after year for the rest of your life.  And then, continue to provide for your children and grandchildren.

Your not just planting trees... you multiplying the value of your land.  The seedlings you plant could start generating cash flow in as little as 5 years and continue to generate income for as much as 100 years.
